Tim did a guest post for Writer Dad that inspired me today. I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately and I want to get back to pursuing my acting career. When I was young I had the same aspirations, but I was told that acting is a dead end, no matter what your talent. I was a bit bitter about it, considering I’ve been told I have considerable talent.
I made myself an acting resume (which really just consists of my movie extra experience and high school plays), and I plan on getting Ms. Meeshi herself to do my head shots and I will start posting myself everywhere that isn’t going to cost me money.
Oh, and I’m at around 4,000 words for NaNoWriMo. I’ve been trying to write on the set, but it’s hard. Maybe that I’m back at the regular job today I can get some writing done.

Hey good for you on the acting. *^$# what everybody else thinks, what do they know? Just do it and make sure you don’t get to 75 with a load of missed opportunities and regrets.
Thanks for the link!
Cheers

Glad to have found you via your comment on @Havi’s post today — lovely site, congrats on working toward NaNoWriMo (you can do it; does dictating for transcription count? See Speak-write.com if so.)
Just a buttinski thought on both the acting and the court appearance: follow your heart.
You know what’s right for you.
You would never have been told you were talented if you weren’t. Those school plays were some of the best time ever and you CAN have that again with theater and series (less so with films unless you’re part of a crew team, but it is possible), and you owe yourself a respected workshop in improv — it’ll help your writing, your acting, everything.
Nice going, keep going, do what you love and (as they say) the money will follow. ACT.
And hey, check out that site Havi referred to today, that lady (I’d misspell her name) seems like she’d be a huge help to you right now…
