A Spring-ey Little Cocktail for Your Gray Matter

Accountability

I’ve been hooked on the Discomfort Zone, Tim Brownson’s blog.  http://www.adaringadventure.com/blog/wordpress/  I am shamelessly promoting his blog because he is a life coach, and could I afford his services, I’d take them.  The best I can do is be his number 1 supporter and plaster his name all over the internet.  =)

He talks a bit about accountability.  I think it is a really good idea to put it out there when you want to get something accomplished, that way you have people to ask about your progress, and you feel you need to answer to someone other than yourself if you fail.  I’ve got some plans for myself after the baby is born and safely enveloped in his new family’s arms.  They are as follows:

  • Get a second job
  • Pay off my debt
  • Pay off my car
  • Get my own place
  • Finish off College (I am taking classes two at a time, but it’s mighty expensive)
  • Tie up any loose ends that would prevent me from marrying Joe

The last on the list needs to be done regardless of whether Joe and I still plan on getting married or not.  I’ve already started seeing a wonderful therapist, and she is part of my plan to “tie up loose ends”.  Trust me, there are quite a few frayed strings flapping in the breeze between my ears.  Tim, indirectly, is also helping me to tie up loose ends.

This is the order I should do them in, but it may not happen that way.

I understand fully that life throws things at you, and if you don’t duck or dodge, you are left stunned or hurt.
